Rebranding for innovative Fintech mobile application

Finket, a point-rewarding fintech mobile application, requested a project to support them in discovering a new brand name, tone, and manner that would target young users while having unique characteristics.

The goal was to transform the existing brand system into a competitive brand in that users can consume rational and emotional value. Starting with renaming the brand, the new visual system and application page need to be redesigned for a cohesive brand experience.

The impact:

  • Increased user base by 23% and rewarding points accumulation by 52%

  • Improved app store reviews to 4 stars

Naming

Building a captivating brand story starts with transforming a lackluster brand like Pocket. The first crucial step in this journey was finding a new name that could effortlessly embody the brand's unique narrative.

The new brand name, Finket is inspired by the speed and limitlessness of a rocket - innovative, increasing, and reaching a goal. Finket is a combination of two words, “Finance” and “Rocket”, meaning boosting the user’s financial status to reach desired target orbit.

Visual Design

To make the whole brand experience continuous throughout a variety of platforms, offline to online, we’ve designed UI/UX guidelines and application pages, based on the brand guidelines. We designed them to keep the overall brand tone and manner so that users experience the brand the same regardless of the type of device. A month after the project, Finket had improved the number of users by 23%, and the accumulation of rewarding points, by 52%
